Everyone of us (users) usually experiences computer lagging especially downloading songs or viewing the youtube or even playing games. Of course, there are a lot of causes, maybe your memory installed is low, your internet speed, or you have a lot of files stored or your computer is afflicted with viruses.
In my experienced, when pc/ computers lags, i normally scan the computers to move out virus to vault. Sometimes I downloaded and run ccleaner or ATF cleaner. This will safely delete all temporary files, then reboot the computer back into safe mode and defrag the hard drive to get free space back again. If you have google toolbar installed, uninstall it. See how it works for you after that. You can download the latest google toolbar. But of the time a google toolbar will cause the lagging.

When your crappy pc lags, throw it out and get a new one....lolz
Kidding aside, if you want to troubleshoot your pc, you must know and understand the root cause of the problem. It can be a hardware conflict or the new software that you had just installed is the culprit. It doesn't need any bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science before you can fix a computer, it's purely common sense.
